Workshop: Key Word Signing

Over the course of these 2 workshops participants will have the opportunity to learn 'signs' that can assist in the development of communication skills. 

Key Word Signing can be used to assist communication skills in the following ways:
• Assist the development of verbal communication
• Assist in a person’s understanding of communication (use of sign can provide a visual support to understand instructions, questions and conversation)
• Support poorly articulated speech that is difficult to understand
• Assist in the development of eye contact, attention, and socialization
• Provide an individual with a non-verbal means of communication

The Therapy Education Support Team is looking for a Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists to join our dynamic and innovative team. Ideally you will have experience working with children with developmental delay and disabilities. 

At Pinarc you would be working within a large multi-disciplinary team which includes Social workers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Early Childhood Educators.
